The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending today in Barbados.

Some readers are today talking about plans for three schools to have sixth forms, including Alexandra. The others include Springer Memorial and St Leonard’s Boys’ School.

The announcement was made by Minister of Education Ronald Jones who also said that four primary schools are also to be rebuilt.

Abraham Millington: “Quite Modern”.

Chris Evelyn: :Alexandra? Seriously?. Shouldn't we give the new Principal and staff at least a year or two to settle down and before making any major changes to the school like adding a sixth form? Who comes up with these policies? Seriously!”

Rodney H Greaves: “It's about time St. Leonard's gets the recognition it deserves.”
