West Indies are on course for a rare series win.

Spearheaded by some hostile fast bowling from skipper Jason Holder, Sri Lanka stuttered to 81 for five at stumps, chasing a target of 144.

Holder has taken four for 21 from eight overs. The visitors’ hopes rest with key batsman Kusal Mendis, who is unbeaten on 25, having been dropped at second slip by Keiran Powell at 19 off Holder at 59 for four.

On an enthralling third day at Kensington Oval in which 20 wickets fell for 229 runs, West Indies were bundled out for 93 in their second innings, their lowest ever total in Barbados. (MK)
