Women fight off would-be robber
Wed, August 18, 2010 - 12:00 AM
Two brave employees of the Geriatric Hospital had no intention of letting a would-be robber take their purses last Monday.
Public relations officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector David Welch, revealed that just after 6 a.m., the two women were assaulted at the Beckles Road, St Michael facility by an unknown man, who attempted to snatch their handbags.
But the women refused, engaging in a struggle and never letting go of their property. The man eventually ran off.
According to Welch, both women gave police a description of the man, and investigations are continuing. (BA)

Comment LinkHats off to the ladies who fought these two unknown assailants. Now, if I could get more Barbadian women resisting the “known assailants,” these three quarter pant wearing man/boys, then so many children will not be fatherless. The boys/young men would not be in the sad state they’re in today. How about it ladies.
