EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES can work hand-in-hand with academic pursuits.
According to principal of Gordon Walters Primary Tyrone Marshall, this was evidenced by the fact that this year’s top boy and girl at the St Patricks, Christ Church school were also the reigning victor and victrix ludorum.
“All it calls for is a time management skills . . . ” he told parents at the graduation, held at the Christ Church Parish Centre today.
Top boy Lael Charles will be going to Harrison College in September. He also received prizes for Best Performance in Maths, Best Performance in English, the Gabrielle Gay trophy for Excellence in Reading, Best Athlete (Male) as well as the Principal’s Award and the Best All-Round Student challenge shield.
Chiara Chase was the best female student and will be going to Christ Church Foundation School. She also earned prizes for Consistently Good Work for Class 4:1, Best Student in Examination (female) and Best Netballer. (LW)
