STAFFERS at a particular agency are sending out an SOS to the ultimate man at the helm.
Whether true or not, they have complained to Cou Cou that the man he has placed in charge is responsible for low morale and making life unbearable for those around him.
Some are even saying he is worse than his sister who was given the boot for attitude as well at another agency.
But why all these complaints?
It was alleged that certain work was only going on in his neck of the woods and that of his boss, but has been sadly lacking in other areas. It was understood that a certain task, which was to start in a particular location, was shelved without explanation and a certain woman whose reputation would benefit from it was livid.
Some have complained that the boss confiscated the keys for particular types of vehicles and a viable reason is yet to be provided.
Another complaint is that he does not let those with expertise under him function to their fullest capacity and transfer requests are starting to come in.
The reported goings-on are inexplicable since the boss man has a reputation for action and wanting to see things done well.
But Cou Cou will monitor this department to see if the reports are accurate, or whether disgruntled stingers are trying to throw a spanner in the man's works.
THUGS TAKE OVER
SPORTS AND POLITICS can sometimes be an unhealthy mix. As one pretender to a "throne" found out recently.
Seems like a newcomer tried his hand at organising a particular sporting event and everything that could possibly go wrong went awry.
Cou Cou was informed that teams that didn't play won games; players that weren't registered played; teams that played one game and lost got more points than some that played and won. It was reportedly the mother of all fiascos.
The final straw came, though, when a team reached the finals after playing only one game and another that had played more than one and won, did not make the final cut.
The end result was that rather than balls, bats, dominoes, pucks, gloves, boots or any other sporting equipment, taking prominence, it was instead missiles flying through the air as the entire situation degenerated into a rock and bottle-throwing, expletive-laced affair. And where was the organiser? Taking hasty flight.
FACING UP TO REALITY
SOME SEE HER as a remnant of a past dispensation, but many say she is a technocrat and thus should stop letting her political slip show. But she always does.
Cou Cou has been advised to monitor the public utterances that she makes. It is alleged that when there is something positive going on in her area of expertise, she never has anything to say, but leaves it up to her second-in-command.
However, from the time there is any negative information circulating, she is all over it like flies on dung, and with an enhanced buzz. People are saying that although she is not a politician, she too has not got over January 2008.
AND THEN THERE WERE THREE
AT LEAST TWO INDIVIDUALS are said to be looking to put forward themselves as possible replacements if a certain individual does not adhere to discipline.
There is also a concerted lobby developing for the troublesome individual to be put out to pasture now. But the boss might not want to do that as the old warrior still has many loyalists and that move could cause a serious split.
But the current boss is no weakling and will do what is necessary to maintain order in the face of open chicanery.
