Healing Herbs - Darico's secret to good health

Published on: 2/8/2010.

by Annette Maynard Watson

Holistic greetings to the children.

OBEDIENCE BRINGS JOY.

Last week's column was deeply inspired by the Creator and brought with it overwhelming responses from enthusiastic readers.

They showered gratitude onto the children because of their keen focus and leadership in the "silent doctor" department. The children are steeped in herbal knowledge because they know the truth.

Today's focus will remain on the children, as I represent Darico Bascombe a first form student of The Foundation School.

Darico is a true champion in the area of sport and herbal remedies. He is an upshoot of primary school track and field. He is well built and has radiant skin.

The energy which emanates from his body is very positive, peaceful and glowing. He also attributes this to his drinking cerasee and aloe vera daily.

He just loves aloe vera. He maintained that it assisted with his endurance and keeping his muscles healthy because he does a lot of riding, especially in hilly areas.

He or his mother prepares the mixture by peeling off some of the skin from the aloe vera, placing it in a blender and blending until it foams.

They would then pour the mixture into a bottle and place it in the refrigerator. He uses two teaspoonfuls each day. He also relates that sometimes "my mother has to stop me from drinking the entire bottle of aloe vera at one [go] because I love to drink it".

Cerasee is another of his favourites. He related that when he was young he had a cold and his mother was informed that he could develop asthma.

His mum, using her mother's instinct, gave him, among other things, cerasee. Darico claims that he has got stronger and stronger. However, others would laugh and complain about how badly it smelt and tasted but he persevered in spite of the heckling.

He asserts that "he is in very good health and when he receives his check-up the results are always very positive. Devotedly, he takes three teaspoons of cerasee regularly.

Darico attributes this love for herbal remedies to his mother who also ensures that he takes a fruit to school each day. His meals include "nuff" ground provisions and fruits. He also eats whole wheat bread instead of white bread.

He advises other schoolchildren to stop eating junk foods as most contain little nutrition, he also recommended that "children need to do research on junk foods before they eat them to see the amount of fat they contain".

In conclusion, Darico argues that cerasee and aloe vera are bitter but they work.

He implores parents to do like his mother and encourage their children to use more fruits, herbal remedies and vegetables.

He posits "this is a good habit which the children should practise forever". His mother Corrien Bascombe is congratulated for educating Darico about "healing herbs".

May we continue to be inspired with gems like Darico.
