Farley worked tirelessly in Christ Church East

IT IS APPARENT the January 15 election was not about representation or stewardship, for if it was, Reginald Farley, a man who has worked tirelessly to ensure that all constituents of Christ Church East were looked after in the best way possible, would still be a Member of Parliament today.
Since 1999 there has been considerable improvement in the overall development of this constituency jobs, housing, road-improvements, street-lighting, scholarships the list goes on.
There is not a dirt track in Parish Land. What used to be a swamp has been transformed into a beautiful pasture
with a pavilion under construction in Silver Sands.
Roads are nearing completion in Breedy's, pavilion at Fairy Valley, and a playing field started at Coverley, these are just a few of his accomplishments during his tenure.
It would take me probably a full page to list all, yet he was unceremoniously dumped.
However, having gone to Foundation School between a graveyard and a quarry he knows about survival.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Reggie for allowing me to be his personal assistant for the last five years; and to say that he possesses one of the most brilliant minds I have had to work with in my life. Thanks also to the staff at the Ministry of Education and of Housing who would have made my job easier by their cooperation.
In conclusion I will leave this Latin quotation, Sapientis est nihil facere quod parentere. Translated: It is
character of a wise man, to do nothing of which he may repent.
