Ailing Garcia

CUBAN detainee Raul Garcia was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) last Monday for emergency medical treatment of an undisclosed ailment.

A source told the DAILY NATION Garcia was taken to the Accident & Emergency Department after complaining about abdominal pains and a growth on his face that was bleeding.

When contacted, Garcia’s attorney at law, David Comissiong, said he only found out that the detainee had been taken to the hospital after receiving a telephone call from a reporter. However, he confirmed that Garcia did have a growth on his face which was bleeding profusely.

While pointing out that he could not disclose any further details about Garcia’s health problems, Comissiong said he was informed that his client would need to have further tests but the QEH had indicated that such tests could not be undertaken until next year because the facility was fully booked. Posted by hyacinth benskin saroop 6 months ago: The lawyer knew about the growth bleeding, then why didn't he asked for help for Garcia earlier on. Now they making Mr Garcia wait like one of us, which is fair.
Mr Garcia it's probably not life threatening, if not your lawyer would go after them. All things aside I don't like to hear any one sick

I take it that anyone else with that condition have to wait in line., WOW! talk about mixed up priorities.It doesn't seem like health care is a real concern at all. Yet almost every day we hosting different conferences which offer so little benefits in comparison to the cost other than maybe a few catering jobs for friends and family. Trinidad recently host a big conference either Commonwealth or UN at a cost of over 100 million US dollars and there like here ordinary people still scrunting.
