Is a right and in accordance with international journalism standards to publish this man’s face? We dont know all facts of situation or if he has been proven guilty in court as yet!?

Are you kidding me? that is the entire story? where do nation journalist get their training/ no mention of the alleged crime, no comment from police or arresting officer, not even an eye witness corroboration! this is just a waste of space. i guess someone just texted them a funny pic and they posted it as a news story without any legwork from the reporting journalist.

by the way this comment was longer and more in depth than the story.

Wow! CRIMINALS BEWARE. The citizenry has had enough.

It is still advisable, however, to allow the Police to do their duty. That said, if the situation allows it, a citizen has the right to make an arrest.

The only prevailing mood is vigilante justice, which in a civilized society should be avoided at all cost.

It is a good step by my fellow Barbadians. That if they see something say or do something for the greater good of our society. Well done.

With all the bible reading people in world, why is it so misunderstood?

Romans 12:17-19 reads in part. “Return evil for evil to NO ONE….Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath, for…vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah”.

The Lord’s Prayer: Matthew 6:12,13…And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”

The only thing missing is a street court where these criminals can be tried by the citizens; and sentenced to a taste of the cat and nine tails. I am sending these citizens some new and stronger rope.

This incident is already on you tube it is crazy. He was accused of raping a 11 year old girl. This man was badly beaten by the residents of this community.

The you tube video is shocking! Barbados is a really different place now, the people are at breaking point.

Mob justice is not justice. It is ruled by emotion, frustration and anger. It is the burning of witches and not law. Let the law take its route. Acts such as this by citizens leave a high burden of guilt. How do we know that he is guilty. This level of mob inspired violence cannot be allowed to exist in any decent society.

I am kinda sad that even though through out the years Nelson Street was always given a name and then they just hold this man for the police.Vigilance would have been forgiven I’m sure cause what they did was UGLY and GOD dont like UGLY.
just wish I was in the area that day i would have pelt some big rocks at he and then wait for my court appointed justice(for de both ah we)

I had seen the video on Facebook.  It’s not right, what i saw in the video is sick, anyone can be suspected of something, but beat the man so bad? I mean tie him and leave him fine, but don’t beat the man up so?, i think every single person that hit this man should be charged. What if the man was innocent? C’mon Bajans think!
