Was the exam easy? Or, were the students well prepared? How tough are we supposed to make an exam for children of this tender age? We can't create an examination that has material beyond the ages and levels of preparation for 11-year olds. Let's face it, these kids, having entered school at around 4 or 5 years old have had only about 80 months of preparation. If we remove time for school vacations, the number would be much less. I find the human brain's capacity to absorb incredible at this age but we can only throw so much at a child. I hope that the education authorities will not use this "easy exam" comment to unduly toughen future exams. Be careful what you wish for. LB.
