Gospel hits the right note

THE?GYMNASIUM of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex was transformed into a musical centre as Gospelfest Platinum Celebration played out before an appreciative audience Saturday night.
It was a night to remember as the gospel artists captured the crowd through spontaneous shouts of “hallelujah” and personal testimonies in word and song.
There was not a dull moment. Each act, from Barbadian Sister Marguerita Marshall to American Larnelle Harris to Jamaican Grace Thrillers, commanded total attention.
Even the honouring of Reverend Wes Hall, whose idea it was to start Gospelfest, was received with loud applause.
