Hotel nod?

THERE HAS BEEN no stamp of approval yet from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the controversial Four Seasons hotel project in Barbados but it appears to be in the works.
That is how well-placed sources in Washington have characterized the state of play when it comes to the IDB’s proposal to invest US$52 million in the project.
In essence, all signals are that the island will get the loan this year, perhaps in the first six months.
“The issue of the loan or investment in the Four Seasons has not been placed on the back burner. It is receiving active consideration,” said the source who is familiar with the project and has been tracking it for more than a year.
