Sean Watson, the estranged husband of 37-year-old Nicole Harrison-Watson has been charged with her murder. Watson will appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today.
The 35-year-old draughtsman of Ballantyne Gardens, Christ Church, was arrested by police on Sunday after release from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) following an apparent suicide attempt in which he allegedly used a knife to slash his throat.
The body of Harrison-Watson was found at her Ferniehurst, Black Rock, St Michael home just after 1 p.m. on Saturday with hands tied and mouth covered. Reports indicated the former clerical officer of the Urban Development Commission also had injuries to the body.
The discovery was made by her brother Anthony Johnson.
A post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.
Sources close to the deceased’s family said the couple were experiencing marital problems and had separated over the past few months.
Harrison-Watson had attended Friday night’s Vintage Reggae Show at Kensington Oval hours before she met her untimely death.
