Four counts of misconduct have been added to the charges of two police officers who are already accused of indecently assaulting three American women.

Constables Anthony Straker, 27, and Donavan Price, 33, yesterday appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court charged with engaging in willful misconduct, which amounted to an abuse of public trust, in demanding $40 payment for transport in a police vehicle from each of the three women and a fourth American woman they allegedly took to an apartment.

Separately, Price, a resident of Lower Carters Gap, Enterprise, Christ Church is charged with criminal damage. It is alleged that he damaged a gate at the apartment complex.

The new charges arise out of the same December 7, 2012 incident that led to Straker, of South District, St George, being accused of indecently assaulting three women, Price being charged with one count of indecent assault, and the two jointly facing a charge of stealing a television set from Raja Apartments. if they are indeed found guilty, what a shame and disgrace to the profession, esp one that is so esteemed and where they are tasked with protecting the average citizen. RBPF plz be more mindful of who is vetted for the force bc if as citizens we cannot trust those who are employed to protect us then our country will inevitably be heading towards some serious serious corruption (if it doesn't already exist), leading to some deep mistrust of police and serious trouble like some other Caribbean nations (nuh name, nuh blame, nuh lock-up), ultimately lead to the rapid demise of Barbados' peaceful and generally safe repute. plz let us not go that route, we have come too far as a nation.

If this wasn't so serious one will think it was actually funny.

OMG...how much worse can this get. Reprehensible is a mild word to describe the actions of these two men. I'm sure they receive a monthly salary, I'm sure they have television sets in their house, and I'm sure they have partners.....so why this? GREED, DISCONTENT, UNCONTROLLED DESIRES?...the list can be endless.
