Police probing Pinelands shooting

Police are continuing investigations into a shooting incident which occurred around 5 p.m. yesterday at Martin Road, Pinelands, St Michael, which left one person injured.

Various properties were also damaged, according to a police report.

A release this morning from the Police stated that "investigations revealed that during the ‘after party’ of the Pinelands carnival, several gunshots were heard."

It noted that a 17-year old Wildey, St. Michael resident received a gunshot wound to his right leg. Two windows from two separate residences were damaged. Three vehicles were also damaged.

Just more of the same. This will continue to happen because the penalties for the perpetrators of this kind of lawlessness remain weak and meaningless.
