The Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) has issued a warning to employers to treat workers with respect or face the consequences.
But it has also underscored the importance of employees pulling their weight in the workplace.
The union’s general secretary Sir Roy Trotman spoke about the rights of both workers and employers yesterday evening as he brought BWU delegates and those from the BWU LIME division up to date on the dispute with telecommunications company LIME at Solidarity House, the union’s headquarters.
Sir Roy told a packed hall of mostly BWU LIME division workers that the trade union would be ”fearless” in its treatment of those guilty of showing disrespect. (MM)
