Reverend Mikie?Roberts has done it again.
As director of the annual Barbados Gospelfest Hymnspeak production, Roberts pulled off another spectacular exhibition of singing from for the most part untrained voices at the historic St?Mary’s Anglican Church in downtown Bridgetown Tuesday night.
Hymnspeak, in its eighth year, was one of the more popular attractions of the Gospelfest week and played out before a capacity audience under the theme Beautiful Words! Wonderful Words.
The almost three-hour production was driven by the Hymnspeak Voices Choir directed by Roberts with accompaniment by organist John Bryan and contributions from the Bethel Chimers, violinist Leandro Layne and the audience.
The singing was also augmented by a brass ensemble and a combo.
