ANOTHER CASE OF REMARKABLE HONESTY!

Last week virtually all of Barbados lauded the selfless actions of postman Tyrone Evelyn after an envelope containing bills and money had been mysteriously thrust into his hand.

And today Jamaican-born Philip Jackson is singing the praises of the management and staff of Jobu’s Sports Bar and Restaurant in St Lawrence Gap, after a bag containing US$10 000, £500 and a BlackBerry cellphone was returned to him after he left it there last Sunday night.

Waitress Petra Modoo, who found the bag, said that after she cleared the table and saw the bag, she ran outside looking for the customer but he had disappeared.

Yay! Despite that I'm to believe Bajans customarily urinate in elevators while traveling abroad, it is good to see that there are still honest, decent people out there. I hope when the tales are being told about Barbadians that these tales of honest ones will also be told.

OMG....I really commend her for this act. I am sure that the average person would have thought twice. Although the reward is usually the joy of knowing that you've helped someone recover a loss, I would hope that these honest people are rewarded in a tangible way as well, if not with cash with a token of appreciation or something.

I'm wondering if Sir declared his ten thousand United States Dollars when he entered the country, as required by Customs.

I'm wondering why/how-come Sir is travelling with that kinda cash!!
Hmmmmm...........

I truly believe that despite the few air-heads, Barbados is still filled with a lot of decent and honest people.

Kudos to Petra. This action that will promote Barbados is among the things that should be rewarded for Independence and surely not some of those that are made.
