The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending today in Barbados.
When some read of the plight of Maria Preville of Vine Street, The City, whose house was dismantled yesterday after a court order, many emphatized.
She said she was given at least six months to find an alternative location after her landlord asked her to vacate the spot. Preville said she and her three children had nowhere to go.
Ingrid Harper: “Things ain’t easy. Lord, please make away out for the sake of this family.”
Ridley Green: “ You mean every month these judges put people out in the street. Didn't Barbados sign on to international human rights. No wonder we've slipped on the human index.”
Readers are also talking about this morning’s fatal accident in St Philip which claimed two lives.
Murial Jordan: “Praying for the families who have lost a loved one and for the injured.”
Shakira Corbin-Hunte: “Another sad weekend . Praying for you and your families.”
