The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending in Barbados today.

Police have confirmed that when Barbadian superstar Rihanna was vacationing here recently, she was not in danger, contrary to reports in the international media.

Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch confirmed that while they did receive a report, subsequent reports showed that there was no cause for concern regarding the singer’s safety.

Angela J Thompson Branch: “Where the heck these people does find these stories? Rihanna born here she does not have to leave here in no hurry.”

Sisi Kitty Linton: “They had nothing else to write about so they just fabricated a story based on assumptions. They need to stop being so malicious and mind their own business.”

Margaret Ross: “Based on the Daily News photos here in New York, I think Rihanna wanted to get back to see the Knicks/Lakers basketball game. Looking at the photos, one wouldn't think she had a confrontation with a German fellow in Barbados…..”

David Aplmac: “I am concerned.”
