Are we there yet?

With reference to the alleged “spammers threat” on the Ministry of Transport and Works’ computer system, I ask: when will we wake up and realize that Barbados is the only island in the Caribbean that opens its doors to whosoever-will-may-come?
And with them come their religion, customs and culture (almost always not the same as ours), and upon arriving here they will not adapt to our ways, but demand we change to accommodate them.
Australia’s Prime Minister got it right when she said: “We did not invite you here, but we welcome you. If you do not like our way of doing things, we are not holding you; please use that freedom to go back from whence you came.”
When will we adopt that stance?

Some ministers of religion have said a resounding no to same-sex marriages being performed in Barbados. Do you agree?
