Do the right thing, Jeff – resign!

My two cents on Mr Jeff Broomes. The man is not God; nobody is perfect.
Even if he sensed that some of his staff were less than friendly towards him, that does not justify criticizing a staff member in a public forum. Or altering a student’s transcript. (To me this is the most serious of his faults.) Or having a relative unlawfully cut a student’s hair.
He should have informed the student to go and have his hair cut and return to school for inspection, as Mr Albert Williams used to do at Harrison College (when it was a proper school before co-education wrecked the educational system in Barbados).
Or not reading correspondence from one of the unions which represents his staff. Or distancing himself from the governing body of the school. Or not being on top of the teaching timetable and teachers’ teaching schedules. Or for [presiding over] so much hostility and division among his staff.
He has too many faults for there to be harmony at the institution. He should do the honourable thing and resign quietly.
