How we could spend Heroes Day ()

I was glad to have a National Heroes Day. We did a project at school [before] which was fun. But my [actual day] was boring.

I just watched TV. I think that it could be better.

First we should start by going to church, because that is what Sarah Ann Gill would do. We would thank God for our National Heroes. We would also thank God for Barbados.

We could decorate the places that remind us of the heroes with banners and pictures and flowers. Some of these places are Bayley’s Plantation, Kensington Oval, Ann Gill Memorial Church, the Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge, Frank Walcott Building, Clement Payne Cultural Centre, Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic, Grantley Adams Memorial School, and Independence Square where the statue of Errol Barrow is.

Then my mummy could drive me around on National Heroes Day to visit these places.

In the evening we could have a concert where [selected] people could act as each National Hero.

I would like to see how it was in their time.
