The atheists will come around ()

Christianity is not a set of beliefs to be argued, but a message to be proclaimed. – Rev. Mitchie Nurse.

I reference Monday’s DAILY NATION Editorial Atheism: Why The Society Needs The Church. In it there is mention of the size of the atheist community in Barbados.

There is a huge AntiChrist spirit evident, not only here in Barbados, but across the world. This said spirit is not new, but has been evident throughout time. However, as I stated in my contribution at the NATION Talkback session Is The Church Losing Society Or Is Society Losing The Church?, this seeming disregard for God and the things of God cannot be truly analyzed or discussed without taking into account what The Bible states concerning the last days.

Peter in his second epistle deals with this when he states that in the last days there will be scoffers, people who will mock the things of God.

They will make fun of Him because Jesus has not yet returned.

But God is not slack considering His promises, as some may think, but is long-suffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but come into His saving grace.

The Bible is clear that there will indeed be a falling away (2 Thessalonians) before the day of Christ’s return. Many will leave and forsake their salvation for many, many reasons.

The Apostle Paul persecuted the church until the Almighty God was ready for him. I am therefore confident that many of, if not all, of the atheists on this island will one day get a revelation of God and will be saved.

Let us as a church continue to pray for lost souls and believe God that He will turn them around. To the church Jesus said: “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Let’s be encouraged and understand that our belief is not in vain.

Praying for us neither negates our critiques nor validates your arguments.

Education is the reason there are more atheists right now, than ever before. Education will bring about the sweet death of religion.

Some ministers of religion have said a resounding no to same-sex marriages being performed in Barbados. Do you agree?
