Whither with our water?

It has not rained for the last two to three weeks.
Water is taken for granted in Barbados, though without it we cannot live. What is the contingency plan in the event the dry season continues for the next six weeks? Pray for rain? Rain-dance?
We have built houses plus houses for the last 18 years without the thought that, yes, it is possible we will run dry and have to ration water.
Do we need to recycle the South Coast sewage water that goes out to sea, or do we need two more desalinization plants?
Before we continue to build more houses, perhaps a study should be done and contingency plan put in place to deal with the problems that will no doubt arise.
