Why the double standards?

The Food & Wine And Rum Festival reached another successful conclusion last weekend. We are on to a good thing with this festival.
I was unable to attend any of the activities this year because of injury, but followed them closely via the various media coverage.
Congratulations to all the stakeholders involved!
Having seen pictures from this year’s presentations, I am left with one concern though.
Why is it there are, rightfully so, strict regulations requiring all local food handlers to have their heads (hair) covered, yet we continue to allow celebrity chefs and others to come here for the various festivals and not insist that they adhere to the same?

Do you think vendors at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex were given adequate notice that the market would be closed for cleaning?
