NOT YET, he says to marriage
Published on: 5/9/08.
Dear Christine,
IT'S NOW six years I have lost my husband. It's been a rough time for me, missing him in so many ways. I did not think I could ever love anyone else. But Christine, five months ago I met a man five years younger than me.
I am 45 and I must admit we have great times together. Our intimate moments are so satisfying. I thought as we drew closer he would express some desire to get married but he says, "not yet" . . . . but when Christine? When?
-V.E.W.
Dear V.E.W.,
Hold on, what's the rush. Not long ago you did not foresee any change in your circumstances. Suddenly, life is good again, but instead of making the most of this new relationship, you're fretting about the future.
Why not just wait and see? Give this man more time to discover how much fun life can be with you at his side. He may well change his mind about settling down, but if he doesn't, at least you'll know love is possible for you once more.
CHRISTINE
