Double blow

Kathy Brathwaite has felt the pain no parent ever wants to endure once, let alone twice.

The Gall Hill, Christ Church mother of five learnt yesterday morning the body of her 25-year-old son Terrence Brathwaite had been discovered in nearby Silver Hill, the apparent victim of a shooting.

An exhausted-looking Brathwaite, speaking to the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday evening outside her home, said her son had been missing since Sunday.

However, she only learnt of his passing when a resident informed her that morning.

“The man said, ‘I heard they had a shooting and they can’t find Terrence’,” Kathy said. “I get weak in my belly and went straight in my front house in the same spot I sat down in when I got the news about Kobea.

“I sat down in a chair and I had that tightness in my stomach. I said, ‘No, not again’.” (AD)
