POLITICIANS have been told that the way out of the recession is to rely on God.
Baptist preacher the Reverend Vincent Wood gave the advice yesterday during a live radio broadcast of the Emmanuel Baptist Church’s morning service.
“Every minister of finance comes and says that we are going to get out of this recession shortly and it doesn’t happen. When will they realize . . .,” Wood said.
Wood’s comments came prior to a 2 p.m. televised Press conference by Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler which focused mainly on the economy. The comments were also ahead of former prime minister and minister of finance Owen Arthur’s proposals on what should be done to turn around Barbados’ economy when he spoke during the Barbados Labour Party’s annual conference yesterday.
