SEVERAL WORKERS WILL be casualties of a “reorganisation programme” initiated by Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited in Barbados.
The WEEKEND NATION understands that Guardian Life staff members were recently informed that more than 15 of them would be let go by the Upper Collymore Rock, St Michael insurer.
When contacted yesterday, the company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trinidad and Tobago’s Guardian Holdings Limited, confirmed the departures but did not quantify the number of employees.
“On August 22, 2017, Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited informed employees at its Enfield House offices of its reorganisation programme geared towards aligning its existing business model to changes in the financial services environment,” the company stated. (SC)
