ONE SPACE SEPARATED them in class, but there was no division when the results of the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination were revealed yesterday.
Eleven-year-old Aliyah Johnson and Rhiana Ruck created history for their Black Rock, St Stephen’s Primary School when they became the first students to tie for top place.
They are both the top girls at their Black Rock, St Michael school and also in the country, receiving the same score of 99 in mathematics, 100 in English and an A in composition, with an overall total score of 246.63.
Yesterday, both girls were surprised when they received news of their success and also that they would both be starting their secondary education at Queen’s College next school year.
