‘Give of your best’

“Do not give up.”

Those were words of encouragement by Brian Green, national director of the Miss Universe Barbados pageant.

He was speaking at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) during the official prize giving ceremony held for the delegates of the 2017 pageant last Friday.

Green specifically addressed contestant Jamilah Forde who placed second to Shannon Harris last year and again to the reigning Miss Universe Barbados Lesley Chapman-Andrews earlier this month.

Her reappearance in this year’s event raised some eyebrows. (TG)
