Nimble shifting associated with skill and guile helped former world Formula One champion Jenson Button to be adjudged winner of his face off against a Twister Aerobatic SA1100 aircraft at Bushy Park yesterday, the highlight of the second Barbados Festival of Speed.
For the aerial challenge, Button was at the wheel of a Radical SR3 RS, a Suzuki-powered 1500cc engine and was not daunted by the task. He was able to get the better of his opponent, Peter Wells, in the cockpit of the aircraft, powered by a fuel-injected 110bhp UL Power UL260iSA engine.
At press time, the British driver, who was having a good day, was also in winning form, taking the checkered flag in his karting match-up with 2017 Le Mans class-winner Will Stevens. (BARBADOS NATION)
