Cawmere survived a slight stutter to maintain their unbeaten record and lead of the Goddard Enterprises Limited division one volleyball table when the action continued on Monday night at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Cawmere let slip the opening set, but then blew past the unfancied All Stars 23-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-14.

Earlier, Progressive defeated Foundation United in straight sets25-18, 25-20, 25-21 to keep Foundation at the other end of the division one scale.

Cawmere who have never won a division one title, in spite of impressive runs in the league and knockout, once again showed their customary second round jitters. Even with Jamaican Robert Andrews out with injury, Cawmere was not expected to be tested by All Stars. (KB)
