Some residents in Foster Hall, St John, are calling on Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley, and their parliamentary representative Mara Thompson, to fix their road which they say has them cut off in cases of emergencies.
Catherine Straughn said when the rain fell, the road turned into a virtual swimming pool and became impassable.
“Where I live people usually hike to come through a track. There is a gully . . . , so when the rain falls, up in here is awful. We have been complaining so long and asking for help with this road,” she said, adding she had lived in the area for 35 years.
Straughn also said emergency vehicles were unable to get to them. (RA)
