A love for local food and a love for people – these are the traits that link the finalists in the ‘Best Fish’ category in Bim’s Best.
“I just like that I can put a smile on somebody’s face and actually serve people,” declared 27 year old nominee Rictoria Forde of Sea Ya Beach Bar in Dover.
A variation of those sentiments was echoed by all of those nominated in the category, such as 25 year old Diandra Lowe of Dd’s Catering, a young entrepreneur who serves up tasty food from her home in St Patrick’s.
“People love to eat and once they are happy with food, they are happy,” explained Diandra.
The nominees come from a range of backgrounds - from the expat husband and wife duo of Marc and Sally Egan in St Philip to Angela Goring, a former banker-turned-restaurateur who operates Ryanne’s in the heart of the city.
However they all share the same dedication - making customers happy through food.
