Style and satisfaction.

That is what motivates the finalists in the Best Hairdresser category in Bim’s Best. Every one of the hair stylists spoke about the buzz they get from transforming their customers and making them happy in the process.

“I get adrenaline off of making people happy,” declared Michelle Carter of Style Lounge while Ashlee Cumberbatch of Island Cuts enthused about loving “the fact that I can make people feel great about themselves by just creating a hairstyle.”

Some of our finalists are self-employed hairdressers working from home while others work as part of a team at a salon. Ranging from their 20s to 50s and with nearly 100 years’ combined experience between them, they are five very different finalists but united by a common passion – making Barbadians and visitors feel beautiful.

How do you feel about being nominated for Bim’s Best? Amazing! God is good. I can’t imagine.

What do you love the most about what you do? Service to people. Absolutely, I love people. Once I see a client satisfied, the look on their face. Most people are not risk-takers so when they decide to ‘let me step out of the box and do something different’ and then they actually enjoy the way they look, then I feel satisfied. Nothing gives me a greater feeling than seeing my clients satisfied.
