BUSINESS WAS reportedly slow to start the Barbados Licensing Authority, The Pine, St Michael, yesterday.

Some instructors waiting to do driving tests with students said they are accustomed to delays, but one instructor who said he and his student turned up for their 8:30 a.m. appointment along with two others scheduled for that time was still there close to 1 p.m. when a MIDWEEK NATION team arrived on the compound.

They were in a line of people scheduled for later times.

The man, who did not want to be identified, said it was his understanding that staff were concerned about rat droppings from Monday, and that it might have contributed to the delayed start to business by at least an hour yesterday.
