Wadahdah party lessons

It was full attendance at the annual Wadahdah Back-to-School fete at Kensington Oval on Wednesday night.
Hundreds turned out in their full, crisp, school uniforms, complete with ribbons, backpacks and lunch boxes. Some “preschool students” also came out with their lollipops.
Primary and secondary schools were represented in the Party Stand as they all came together to get some lessons in the various dances for the Crop Over season and also to learn some new tunes.
However, just like when all the schools come together, it was not all unity. The session was halted on two occasions to allow security personnel to rid the school of the troublemakers. (DB)
