Now that the first 100 days of Government’s second term have passed, the Opposition is taking off the gloves and vowing to do battle.
The “breathing space” that Leader of the Opposition Mia Mottley said was given to the Freundel Stuart Administration after the February election “has been wasted”.
“I am saying that the 100 days are over, and in fact, we have arranged to bring the entire family of the Barbados Labour Party together next week at Foundation School for us to discuss the situation, the national concerns among ourselves and begin to mobilize us in a way to make far more noise in relation to people’s concerns,” Mottley said in New York.
“We feel the Government has been given sufficient time to settle back in. They are not a newly elected Government but they have a new mandate. We respected that mandate and we are now saying enough is enough.
