Tracksuits and sports gear were set aside for the style and glamour befitting an awards night, when sportsmen and women were recently recognised for their accomplishments.
The gala awards function hosted by the National Sports Council at the Frank Collymore Hall brought out a who’s who in sport.
National athletes such as Olympian Akela Jones, international surfer Chelsea Tuach, West Indies cricketing star Shai Hope, squash players Mark Sealy and Meagan Best and racing ace, former jockey Challenor Jones were all there among the many other people from the sporting fraternity. (GC)
