Dark Hole Road closed

Dark Hole Road in St Sylvan’s, St Joseph, is going to be closed for a while.

With the road collapsing into the nearby gully last week, Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley said the major artery would take some time to be restored as it was “not an easy fix” due to its location in the Scotland District.

His comments came while addressing the media in Flagstaff Road, St Michael, on Friday where roadworks were under way.

When a Sunday Sun team travelled to the area yesterday, both sides of the road at Dark Hole remained blocked with banks of marl to prevent any vehicular traffic, but there did not appear to be any further slippage. (AD)
