The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending in Barbados today. Readers are congratulating Anthony “Gabby” Carter, after he was presented with his Degree of Letters, Honoris Causa, this morning by Chancellor of the University, Sir George Alleyne. There was thunderous applause from the more than 300 graduating students, as well as hundreds in the seats at the Gym. Margaret Ross: “Congratulations "Gabby". Well deserved!” Jillian Husbands: “Dr Gabby! Has a great ring. Congrats.” Paula Brathwaite: “Congratulations, Gabby! A well-deserved honour indeed.” Gregg Ifill: “Congrats Gabby.
