Management and staff of the privately-owned Bridgetown Cruise Terminals Inc. turned up for work this morning to find themselves locked out of the facility.
Confirming this to Nation Online minutes ago, manager of Barbados Cruise Terminals Inc. Geoffrey Roach said he had met with their attorneys this morning and the matter was being handled by them.
Roach however declined to give further details on the matter, saying he had been advised by the attorneys not to enter into any further public discussion.
A top source from the Barbados Port Authority Inc. contacted by the Weekend Nation, also said the attorneys for that side were dealing with the issue which involves the BPAI’s termination of the lease agreement with the BCTI. The BPAI source disclosed that lease ended in December last year. (GC)
