On Monday, March 19, the Drug Squad arrested and charged Antonio Raymond Browne, 35, of Glendalough Road, Josey Hill, St Lucy and Damien Omar Gooding, 32, of Salters Tenantry Road, St Michael with four drug charges. The offences were allegedly committed at the residence of Antonio Browne.
Browne and Gooding were charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and conspiracy to traffic cannabis.
They were also jointly charged with conspiracy to traffic cannabis, which they allegedly committed on Sunday, March 18.
Damien Gooding was charged with handling cannabis, which he allegedly committed at the residence of Antonio Browne on Sunday, March 18. A search of a van found 30 polythene bags. These polythene bags were examined and found to contain vegetable matter suspected to be cannabis.
The weight of the suspected cannabis is 774.1 kilos (1 703.02 lbs) with an estimated value of $3 096 400.
Browne and Gooding appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair in the Holetown Magistrates Court and were remanded until April 14. (PR)
