The Registration Department at the Supreme Court Complex will be closed for the remainder of this week to facilitate the investigation of environmental issues, which forced staff off the job earlier today.

This was revealed by Registrar of the Supreme Court, Barbara Cooke-Alleyne following a lengthy meeting at the Supreme Complex, which involved Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson, Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Brathwaite, the Permanent Secretary and Project Manager within the Ministry, and shop stewards and Management of the National Union of Public Workers.

She further disclosed that they are to meet again on Friday, April 13, to “discuss the way forward” and update staff.

Meanwhile, jurors assigned to court number 5 in the Supreme Court Complex are advised to report for court tomorrow, Thursday at 9 a.m. (BGIS)
