The Mount Gay Extra Old Vintage Reggae Show & Dance was hitting some sixes as it started on time at Kensington Oval on Friday night.
Hundreds took up prime spots to take in the action as local band Troubadors bowled the first innings.
They were followed by the only female on the bill, Jamaican songbird JC Lodge.
Ernie Smith took to the stage at 11:30 for a 40-minute set, doing every song he could which had everyone rocking.
On the bill to come are Tony Tuff, Josey Wales, DJ Lil Rick with a 30-minute set, Leroy Sibbles, Johnny Osborne and show closer Freddie McGregor. (NS)
