Chris Sinckler last night observed a moment of silence for the island’s two latest road fatalities.
Colin Dexter “Terry” Clarke, a 44-year-old worker of the Barbados Port Inc., of Chapman Street, St Michael, and 36-year-old gardener Jonah William, of Baird’s Road, Lower Carlton, St James died in an early morning collision on the outside Sinckler’s St Michael North West constituency office at the corner of Black Rock Main Road and St Stephen’s Hill.
The tragedy took place around 1 a.m. as Clarke was giving William a ride to his St James home. His vehicle and a Transport Board bus collided.
In mentioning the deaths, Sinckler said even in the midst of campaigning there was a need to pause and reflect.
He extended sympathy to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and those who were injured. (AC)
