For the past three years, the husband of the project manager in the Attorney General’s Office has been responsible for all of the technical works associated with the Supreme Court Complex.
Project manager Jenifer King-Bunbury has overall responsibility for supervision and approval of all of the physical works associated with the Whitepark Road, St Michael building, while her husband Ryan Bunbury is in charge of the technical works.
NATION investigations revealed that Government had voted $1.5 million annually for the upkeep of the multimillion-dollar complex which was opened in 2009. The court, which was built at a cost of $76 million, has been plagued with environmental problems since then as well as a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.
A source said Bunbury was previously employed “as a handyman” by Mace Macro, the United Kingdom company which was appointed in 2009 to provide maintenance for the Supreme Court Complex. Mace Macro’s contract came to an end in 2015. (MB)
