Venezuelans cast votes

VENEZUELANS?LIVING in Barbados took time out yesterday to vote for their candidate in the South American country’s elections, to choose a successor to late President Hugo Chavez.
More than 60 of the 86 Venezuelan citizens registered to vote in Barbados made their way to the Venezuelan Embassy in Hastings, Christ church, to cast ballots.
Venezuela’s Ambassador to Barbados Jose Gonzales Febres told the DAILY NATION he was happy with the turnout.
“The people are voting in Barbados, other countries and Venezuela. I am happy with the turnout,” he said.
The candidates in the election were Chavez’s hand-picked successor Nicolas Maduro and challenger Henrique Capriles.
